What Can I Do?
Everybody can do something to support the mission of Hospice & Community Care. Gifts to Hospice, big or small, provide significant support for all our services and programs and will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve in our community.
Give Time
Volunteer
Many people enjoy investing their time, talents and expertise as Hospice volunteers. Volunteers are vital to the mission of Hospice & Community Care and serve in various capacities such as sitting with patients, working in the Resale Shop, helping with special events or serving as Watchman representatives in churches or communities.
Serve as an Advocate
It is important that the mission of Hospice & Community Care is spread throughout our community and that everyone is educated about what Hospice & Community Care offers the community. By allowing Hospice staff to speak to your civic organization or business you help advocate Hospice care for your community.
Host an Event
Each year Hospice & Community Care is privileged to receive support from
community groups and organizations that host events on behalf of Hospice. From horseshoe and golf tournaments to bake sales and concerts, Hospice & Community Care benefits from the funds raised at these events. Events do not have to be extravagant; they work best when hosts feel a deep desire to help continue the mission of Hospice & Community Care in their community.
Support Others
Provide for PatientsHospice & Community Care specializes in providing comfort, compassion and hope to terminally ill patients and their families. We accept all patients regardless of their ability to pay. Your gift will be used to bring hospice care to families who do not have the resources and are unable to bear their burden alone.
Support Adults
Hospice & Community Care offers a variety of grief support services for not only
hospice patients and families, but for the community as well. After the loss of a loved one, sometimes what people need the most is just a person to talk to … someone to listen. Hospice & Community Care has professional grief counselors who are available for individual counseling and support.
Help Children
Hospice & Community Care offers grief camps to provide an opportunity for
children to heal with other grieving children in a safe environment that is supportive while providing a structure to learn, grow and play together. Hospice & Community Care also hosts a variety of school-based grief support groups, provides in-services to teachers, and serves as the major provider of resources on grief and loss for children in our community.
Assist Families
Hospice & Community Care offers an annual one-day grief support camp for
children and their parents/guardians. Big Sky Family Camp is designed for parents and their children to participate in grief-related activities to honor and remember the family member or friend that has died. This camp meets the needs of families as a whole with those of the parent and their children.

Invest in Hospice & Community Care
Sponsor Comfort BasketsOur comfort baskets are one way that Hospice & Community Care can soothe,
console and calm hospice patients. They include comfort items for the patient such as therapeutic herbal comfort wraps, hand massage lotion, lip balm, hard candy and relaxing music selections. Baskets are delivered to each Hospice patient when they come under the care of Hospice & Community Care.
Support our Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry of Hospice & Community Care includes volunteers and
caregivers of all faiths. Shawls are knitted or crocheted with prayers, blessings and wishes in mind for recipients. Members of the Hospice team give the shawls to people in need of spiritual comfort. Support of the Prayer Shawl Ministry helps with the printing and packaging needed to present the prayer shawls to the recipients.
